Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. The name she is most commonly used for her professional work is Aurora or sometimes stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval by music blogs and the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, gave it some more recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being amazed by its sound. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to take up music. Not for an income or to pursue just a pastime, but for the sake of growing. She began writing songs of her own. In addition to Bjork and Bjork, she also credits Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her decision to begin performing their songs in public after her mother suggested that it could aid people in not gain fame through the work she does, but to help those around them see their importance and the ways they have an impact on the world. Her first piano lessons began when she was just six years old, then began creating music when she was nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. The actress claims that she likes writing songs. According to her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
